Sangmin Lee

Principal

MBA, EIT, LEED AP

Sang founded SL Squared in 2019 and serves as its Principal. He has over 15 years of real estate development and finance experience, across a full spectrum of sectors and functions. Currently Sang is the main point of contact for all project management and estate management clients.

Sang’s previous real estate finance experience includes his time as a Risk Manager for Citigroup, identifying and mitigating risks on construction loans for all of the bank’s affordable housing portfolio throughout the West Coast.

Prior to that Sang spent the first decade of his career wearing a number of different hats in construction and development, including working for two of the largest international general contractors in NYC, managing and developing senior housing communities in 12 states, building out a 200,000 SF tech company HQ and a 100,000 SF animation studio, leading design and construction of a confidential defense research lab, and opening co-working spaces throughout the West Coast.

Sang received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from The Cooper Union, and a Master of Business Administration degree from USC Marshall School of Business. He holds an Engineering in Training certification in New York State, and is one of the first group of LEED AP green building credential holders.
